Nowadays didnt blog because im super busy with work. when i say busy i mean like 9.30am to 6pm kind busy.

I used to think working in a lab is fucking boring but i think my views on it have changed alot because its quite enjoyable to work. mainly because i thought it super boring when u are facing the 4 walls doing mixing, pipetting etc.

But actually its good because there wouldnt be anyone (other than my boss, not that she disturb me) disturbing your peace. Compared to working at giordanos (ex work place) where people are constantly asking me to do shits. serve etc.

so annoying, cant even do my stuffs in peace. but working in a lab can.

but the most annoying thing about working in a lab is that most of the time i need to prepare this solution called EDTA, which is toxic, gives u cancer etc. so i need to wear gloves. you know how hard to make it?

i need to weigh out 0.005 grams of solid EDTA powder whenever i wanna make it.

0.005g leh, si peh hard lor, plus 1ml of water. so thats like very little

so i decided to weigh out 0.05g + 10 ml of water. same concentration. :)

i cant even make a stock solution because the EDTA will degrade.

boy, how smart i am (for people in my lecture hall they might be rolling eyes).

so far work is pretty okay, with some boring times to do. nowadays we (we as in me and sin teck) are waiting for our plants to come so we can do our stuffs.

people there are also very nice, dr ong is also nice! i think she is the i-like-to-go-around-eating-wonderful-food kinda person because the first week we came, she keeps telling us directions on where to get the best food etc. and 2 of my lecturers did their PhD with her.

so far my favourite food in the entire NUS is the beijing dumplings, (10 for $3, 20 for $5) but its only available on thursday. and the queue is DAMN LONG.

colleagues are nice as well (im not saying this just because they might read this). and there's this post-PhD girl called carol, the way she talks is super funny!

people there are all very smart. like youmin, daphne. (doing their doctors and such)

yes all girls lab.

sometimes we have ming kai coming in and make all of us laught by imitating Tim Gunt from project runway "Designers! make it work, you need to blow the judges socks away!"

anyway, i was saying, i didnt blog for so long, its because after work, dinner when i reached home its about 7 plus, so i would slack in front of the com. and go and sleep at 11pm, sometimes even earlier, 10pm!

im like a working adult.

serious i cant even sleep later than 11pm, because the next day i will get SO tired. i need to wake up at 7am, so that i can go to the nearest kopitiam to have breakfast.

now i FINALLY understand why adults dun really like to go out after work.

yesterday after work(friday), i intended to go swimming but i forgot to bring goggles along so i went home and take.

But when i reached home i was ultimately tired so i went to sleep! at 5.30pm

i think i should sleep now (again) and wake up at 9am to go swimming.

URGH

i bought this box of jelly beans from NUS (my attachment place) and there's this particular flavor that i like, because it reminds me of some sweets i ate when i was young and the taste is super familiar.

I am determined to find which one is it. so i POURED everything out on a plate and eat one by one while watching project runway 4 (absolutely interesting show). and take note of wad colour i put into my mouth

when ever i ate the flavor i like, i will be happening to watch that show and not take note of what flavor i putted into my mouth.

so i had to spit it out everytime and see wad flavor is it.

its red/pink in colour.

Here's what i did for the past, ahem, 2 days.

friday: sleep at 4pm, woke up at 7pm, dinner, study for mircobio, study from 7pm to saturday, 5am.
saturday 5am to 8.55am: went to mac for pancakes, go to school
saturday 9am to 11am: took the paper
saturday 11am to 2pm, went to KAP for mac with chee siang, joel, sin teck. came home
saturday 2pm to 10.30pm: sleep
saturday 10.30 to 12.30am(sunday): online, eat, watched ugly betty.
sunday 12.30am to 5.30pm: sleep

i just finished studying for microbio, seriously, i followed his study guide blindly, if new jen yen decided to be funny and give pattern, im so motherfucking screwed!

I decided im too hungry to absorb any new informations. my paper is in... less than 4 hours.

IM SO HUNGRY that i feel like taking silly, daylyly, milly, dilly and just eat them up. complete with sambal chilli.

Anyway, i think its good that he gives study guide (even if, *touch wood* he plan to give pattern in the end), because there is simply TOO much to study, around...30 chapters? take and give a few la. and ALL is memorising work. so since he give study guide, i think it can help me do selective studying. which is, in my opinion, NECESSARY. cos there are so bloody much la

its only ONE module. *roll eyes* 2 more to go (i had Cell culture this morning)

somemore i still have Aqua paper, horrors of horrors. Thats the last module i wanna retake lor, okay, maybe second last cos i dun like biochem the most. eh wait. i think i choose aqua as my hatest paper. because AT least dr forday will give hints.

Rumors said that, Dr Neville's paper is quite sucky because he anyhow set questions so there is absolutely no point to pick main part to study (neville : study everything).

I failed my aqua common test (41/100) so i have retest to take, on chinese new year eve. and CNY eve also have immune prac, i studied for immune prac test (which was worth it) and decided to fuck up the retest.

The ultimate sian thing is that i saw the retest paper and its so you-know-or-you-dunno kind of questions, so i cant even crap my way through the paper. then i realised that since its capped at 50%, so matter how well i do, i will still get a Pass.

so i decided to do 50% of the questions, which, sadly, i dun even know how to do.

then i just hand up an empty paper (except for MCQs, which my answers, are all D)

hey at least i turned up okay? last sem's people dun even bother to turn up lor! (i know, this is a weak argument, shuddup, my brain is now filled with Microbio shits)

what the fuck -_-

sigh, i heard engineering courses people take mostly maths. for a moment i contemplate to go that course but i realised that im gonna be year 3 soon.

wah sian leh.

why like that sia. later still got Microbio exam and IM DAMN SCARED NOW.


okay its now 5.31am, i need to shower, wash my hair, and have breakfast (i decided to have pancakes at mac instead of my 4 super cute hamsters)

Because i have a absolutely good reason not to go out (actually there are 2 people who asked me out on that day, but i rejected them both *ahem*)





15th of feb, right after 14th of feb! so it means that most of us cant go out on the 14th. and MUST stay at home and study. Im feeling good, shows that god pity single people like me.

Yah la yah la, i know i know people like MeiQi will be pissed for this stupid exam to be on that day because year 1 is like that, year 2 also like that. of all days then the exam is on this day.

then cannot go out and celebrate, even if go out. i think will be a little guilty la.

If those attached people are thinking "I DON'T CARE, i can always study when i come home"

im sorry dears, chances are you are too tired to study, and guess what???




its a 9am paper! so you all must wake up early!

okay, there are probably some people who are damn good at that module so they will be like "i've already studied that"
